Here are just a few of our outreach programs:

Feeding Empty Little Tummies (f.E.L.T.)

F.E.L.T. foundress, Jane L. Evers realized Manatee County had a dark secret.  We are home to thousands of homeless students who go hungry every weekend.

In 2010 Jane introduced Feeding Empty Little Tummies to 3 Manatee County public schools.  We now service 32 schools and our numbers are increasing.  Jane’s vision to provide nutritious meals to homeless students is still being fulfilled by our dedicated board, volunteers and community leaders.

Mothers Helping Mothers

Since 1990, Mothers Helping Mothers, Inc., an all volunteer not-for-profit organization, has been providing basic necessities such as clothing and baby items FREE OF CHARGE to families in need in the Sarasota and surrounding counties. All items are donated or purchased through grant funding or private contributions and are provided free of charge to our clients. Additionally, we offer emotional support and referrals to other agencies in the surrounding area. Mothers Helping Mothers has no paid employees and relies on volunteers!
